Gele Properties LLC ("Gelé Properties," "we," "us," or "our") operates furnished short-term and extended-stay rental properties and the website at www.geleproperties.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our Site, submit an inquiry, book a stay, apply to rent, or otherwise interact with us.
This Privacy Policy is intended to be straightforward and easy to read. It also explains our SMS/text messaging practices. Our SMS program is currently limited to internal notifications for employees and authorized staff, as described in Section 3 and in our SMS Policy at https://www.geleproperties.com/pages/sms-policy . SMS consent information is not shared with third parties or used for third-party marketing.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit a booking inquiry, direct booking form, rental application, lease intake form, or guest information form, or otherwise contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, government-issued identification (where required for booking or leasing), payment information, and the details of your inquiry, booking, or tenancy.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring pages, through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from booking platforms. If you book through a third-party platform (such as Airbnb or VRBO), we receive the information that platform shares with hosts, subject to that platform's own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and process bookings, applications, and leases
- Send property access information, check-in instructions, checkout reminders, maintenance updates, payment reminders, and support messages by email, phone, mail, or booking-platform messaging
- Process payments and security deposits
- Maintain and improve our properties, Site, and services
- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Protect our properties, guests, staff, and business against fraud, damage, or misuse
We do not sell your personal information.
3. SMS/Text Messaging
Gelé Properties operates an SMS notification program that is used solely to communicate with our employees, contractors, and authorized staff. This internal program sends operational notifications such as task alerts, system status alerts, and staff scheduling notices.
Enrollment in the internal SMS program is by keyword opt-in: staff members text ENROLL to our program number and receive a confirmation message with full program disclosures. Full program terms, including opt-in, opt-out, message frequency, and cost disclosures, are available in our SMS Policy at https://www.geleproperties.com/pages/sms-policy.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Participants may opt out at any time by replying STOP and may request help by replying HELP or by contacting us at admin@geleproperties.com . Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of employment or engagement.
We do not operate a customer-facing SMS text messaging program. We communicate with guests, tenants, and applicants by email, phone, mail, or through booking-platform messaging.
4. No Sharing of SMS Consent or Mobile Information for Marketing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party. Mobile phone numbers collected in connection with our SMS program are used solely to deliver the messages described in Section 3 and in our SMS Policy.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, electronic signature providers, property management software, cleaning and maintenance contractors, and website hosting providers. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Booking platforms. With third-party booking platforms as necessary to manage reservations made through them.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gelé Properties, our guests, our staff, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate core Site functions and understand how visitors use the Site. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some Site features may not function properly without them.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. Booking and lease records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Internal SMS enrollment records are retained for the duration of the staff member's engagement with Gelé Properties or until the staff member opts out.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at admin@geleproperties.com. We will respond as req uired by applicable law. Certain records (such as lease and payment records) may be exempt from deletion where retention is required by law.
- You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including booking platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
